Greetings! I'm sorry I've been missing so many Thursday's, between having an iffy vehicle and having stuff come up on Thursday's it's been a no go. I was planning to get back this week and found out my friend from MO (who missed Lilies because she had a job interview) is arriving Thursday with her guy on their way to the Boundary Waters. I will be missing another week. Poo.
I did want you to see the cloak that I just finished for my friend Halvdan, who was knighted at Lilies on the 16th.
It's grey wool, with a border of deep purple wool, woven trim (that I wove myself), embroidered runes, and a gold linen chain edged with red chain stitch. I'm really happy with how it turned out and Halvdan loved it, especially when I told him what the runes meant.
